Our Story
Pastors Derrick and Nicole West have overseen the planting and revitalization of 6 churches in New York. A few years ago they answered the call of God to return to Derrick's hometown of Wildwood, here in Florida. Through God, Encounter Church was able to purchase property in Wildwood and begin to have church in a large tent while the new Encounter Church building is being built. Derrick and Nicole along with their three children have been called to not only plant Encounter Church but to build Encounter Centers where people of all backgrounds, ages, cultures and ethnicities can come to Encounter Christ.
